Join us for a picnic at Hibernia Park. Everyone is welcome! We have Hibernia pavilion #4 at the posted coordinates all day. There is parking, playground, and restrooms nearby. Log book will be available by noon but you are welcome to use the pavilion at any timeall day Park hours are 8am to sunset.
S.E.A.R.C.H. is the group Michael named. We are the SouthEastern Area Roving Geocache Hunters. Hibernia Park is a Chester County park with a lot of trails, fishing, beautiful Chambers Lake, a historic mansion, picnic facilities and many existing geocaches, including many placed by HLHS-TX Kid himself, and by HLHS-TX Mom in his memory. I've heard a rumor that there might be some new #G4M caches, too!
Note: we are back in our original pavilion, #4 in the north part of the park, across from Fiddler's Stage. We promise not to invite those gorgeous thunderstorms of 2015... remember Michael's garbage can liner poncho?
There will be BBQ meats available from 12:30 to 2pm. Drawings for door prizes will be held between 1:30 and 2 pm. The Hoagies will purchase BBQ meats and buns and bring paper goods and the grill. A small donation for the meats (usually $3 for adults, $2 for kids) is suggested.
Please bring a food item to share. Note in your log or e-mail the CO (Mrs.Hoagie) with what you intend to bring so we can have a good mix of food. Suggestions: fruits, deviled eggs, chili, chips & dip, pretzels, popcorn or other munchies, desserts, (no alcohol permitted in the park). I'll keep an updated list on this site so you know what is coming and what might still be needed.
Here is the link for the trail map for the park. There are lots of great trails. The Hibernia Mansion is not open on Saturdays, but you can walk around the house and peer into some of the windows.
Some folks will bring trackables to trade or discover; others will bring shiny trade items.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park; please do not bring any.
