HORROR WOOD
Take a walk in the woods. But why do it during the day when the sun shines. Wait until night, better yet wait for the witching hour. Feel the temperature drop as the mist rolls in. Snap. A branch breaks. From which side of the path did the sound come from. Are the dark shapes simply shadows cast by the trees or do they hide something more deadly......
Continue if you dare.
RULES FOR STAYING ALIVE
Ignore the person in the group who suggests that you split up. He already knows where the cache is hidden and doesnt want to share the FTF.
THIS EVENT
It is a thirty minute event starting at 2200 (10PM in old money). There will be a draw for a FTF at the end of the event. There is suggested parking at the waypoint below for a number of cars. I intend to leave from there at 2100 to walk along the forest trails up to event location. It is rough track and there is some height gain. Aside from a short section in the beginning it is reasonably gentle. While the track is generally dry wear appropriate footwear. It is summertime in Ireland so raingear is pretty much essential. Note the time and consider whether the light on your mobile phone will provide sufficient illumination.

LEAVE NO TRACE
This event is organised using the Leave No Trace principles. There will be no need to leave the trails and anything you bring in, bring home with you, especially family members and pets.
COSTUME/MASK
Given the theme of the event, should you have a left over mask or costume from last Halloween it might make for an interesting group photo.......
