Congrats to ladyjodamic on the FTF!

This geocache is a memorial to an outstanding citizen of Paulding who passed away in 2011 at the ripe age of 98 years young. Herb Monroe was know for his caring nature to the whole community. In 1997, Herb was awarded the Ohio Elder Caregiver of the Year award for his care of his wife during her journey with Alzheimer's disease. He started the Alzheimer's Association and at 91 years of age was a Meals on Wheels delivery driver for the community. If you would like to know more about Herb's awesome life, a book was published by Paulding native Jane Nice called Married to Millie: The Humble Life of Herb Monroe. 

The city of Paulding dedicated this park to Herb on September 30th, 2014. Many little events take place around this community gathering spot so stealth may be required.
