Welcome to tonight's game of America's pastime Baseball at Geocache Stadium. Its been a really enjoyable game with the score going back and forth between the two teams. The Game is currently tied at four and we are in the bottom of inning number nine.
The home squad comes is up to bat. Leading the way is the second baseman Joe Firsttofind. Joe has been up to bat five times this game and has nothing to show for it so far.
He swings at the first pitch and misses. The second pitch is low. He hits the third pitch deep, it's going back, back, back.. and caught by the right fielder for the out.
Now batting the third baseman, Johnny Troismots. Johnny has hit seven home runs this year so far and is looking to do it again. He hits it solidly to left field. The left fielder gets it on the hop and throws it in. Johnny is safe on first.
Up to bat now with Johnny on first is the first baseman Frank Blossom Frank looks at the first pitch for the first strike. Swings wildly at the pitch number two for the strike two. The pitcher smiles; thinking he has him dead to rights. He prepares his special strikeout pitch.
Suddenly Johhny bolts for second base. The shortstop covers but receives the throw too high and Johhny is safe on second.
The pitch is made to the plate, and what a wicked two-seam fastball. The batter had no chance a swing and a miss for the second out. Frank will likely end the day with zero hits on the day.
This brings the right fielder Mike Baldy to the plate. And look who is on deck! None other than the slugger left fielder, number nine Jose Bovine.
But first it's up to Mike. We last saw Mike back in inning seven where he grounded out. The pitch is low. "Ball One" yells out the umpire. This is followed by another ball on the next pitch. Then a weak ground ball that freezes Johhny on second the throw is made but it's not in time. Safe!. We have men on first and second for Jose.
Jose is currently on a five-game hitting string on the line here. The pitcher looks worried. Jose has had his number all year. The third baseman notices this and calls time to go over and have a chat with him until the umpire comes to break it up shortly after.
Looking at Jose the pitcher starts to sweat. He knows the game is on the line. He counts to three and delivers the pitch. Strike!
That's one he thinks. Two more to go.
But the next pitch is low. This evens the count. As soon as the third pitch is released the pitcher knew it was a mistake. Jose is all over it hitting it deep to right. The right fielder goes back, back, back to the wall jumps for the ball but is too short. The ball hits the top of his glove and goes over the fence for a home run
The Home team wins the Game!
