t.a.folk: Checked on cache today and felt the cache is now getting “tacky” , rust now on dustcart and overall mucky , so have removed and archiving . Sorry about no notice , but it now takes me 2 buses to get here because no longer have a car.

Geocache Description:


A short 2 stage multi featuring an information board that is, at the time of placing this cache, about 28-29 years out of date.
If you lived locally pre - 1990 you might remember the council refuge dump at Standpit with the entrance just before the present Stanpit Marsh car park (when approaching from Purewell Cross).
One of us recalls it but could not remember the date of closure. But recently we had a chance encounter with a man who did some of the "post closure landscaping" and the early 1990's seems to be the era of closure.
But still this sign at the headline co-ords remains.

The cache holder was a much used item in our house during the early 1980's


At the head line co-ords find the following information
Mon-Fri: A=2nd digit. B=3rd digit. C=5th digit. D= 6th digit.
Sat: E=2nd digit. F=1st digit. G=5th digit.
(The "Sat" information has been repainted in the past and part of it no longer displays the usual format of the 24 hour clock. The questions use the repainted presentaion).

Checksum The "Sum" of all the digits in the final location co-ordinates is equal to the "product" of the calendar positions of the two months mentioned on the bottom line of text on the information board.
