A small cache near the site of Wahgunyah's railway station. This replaces the old Wahgunyah Choochoo cache.
Wahgunyah is the end of the line which runs from Springhurst on the Melbourne-Albury main line. The line was opened in 1879, carried passengers till 1962 and was closed in 1995. For a few years after that some local enthusiasts ran a rail motor for tourists from Rutherglen. Wahgunyah is now the Northern end of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail.
The station area still has a few bits of steel rail, switching gear, and the old platform.
The cache is a small Systema container with logbook, pencil, and room for one or two swaps..
Muggles could be about, walking or cycling, so please search discreetly.
