After hiking the Tinkers path section of the East Coast Trail, we returned to this parking area to retreive one of our vehicles. Took some time to ponder this old Church and area.
Some further research once I arrived home gave me some interesting facts about this old building:
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Tors Cove, thought to have been built around 1890, is close to another church in the Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish — St. Michael’s by Bauline on the Southern Shore. It’s also close to the churches in Bay Bulls and Witless Bay. It’s not built on a normal foundation. It’s built on rocks.

The parish included the communities of Tors Cove, Mobile, Burnt Cove, St. Michael's, Bauline and La Manche.
The final service was held on June 27th, 2014 and drew about 100 people.
This cache should be a good park and grab. The area can be busy at times so some stealth might be required. Cache is a smaller container but should still be an easy find.
