NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!!
I was first introduced to Minnesota sweetness on my pancakes. Then I was exposed to it through my wife's father who used to have her help make it from their trees. He still does some on his own down by the river. Then I saw it done at a local park. Finally I got to help a friend who lives by Elm Creek park do a cook down. He has a large stainless steel cooker that we used to cook down the sap.
When the sap is syrup it is around 67% sugar. The darker the syrup the higher the sugar content and the richer the flavor.
What major world event caused maple syrup to become very popular??
