V stredoveku viedlo územím Spišskej župy niekoľko významných obchodných ciest. Medzi najvýznamnejšiu sa radí tzv. Poľská cesta, ktorá spájala Poľsko s južnými oblasťami. Táto cesta mala viaceré alternatívy medzi nimi aj Glackú cesta.
Ako vyzerala stredoveká cesta?
Oproti súčastnosti stredoveká cesta vyzerala dosť jednoducho a viedla vačšinou čo najjednoduchším terénom a až v prípade, že nebola iná možnosť tak sa stavali mosty na prekonanie riek alebo údolí. Potoky a rieky sa vačšinou prechádzali brodením, v blízkosti týchto brodov sa stavali dediny a mestá a zároveň tento brod bol aj miestom kde sa stretávalo viacero ciest dokopy.
Vačším problém ako výstavba takejto cesty bola jej údržba. Údržba cesty na ktorej sa tovar prepracoval hlavne na koňoch bola náročná, pretože často zarastala a stávala sa nepriechodnou. Jednotlivé panstvá sa o tieto cesty starali, pretože čím lepšia bola takáto cesta, tím viac tovaru po nej putovalo a tím boli tieto panstvá bohatšie.
Glacká cesta
Glacká cesta je stará furmanská cesta ktorá spájala oblasť Gemera s oblasťou Spiša, kde sa napojila na hlavnú vetvu Poľskej cesty. Slúžila hlavne na prepravu tovaru medzi severnou a južnou časťou Slovenského raja. Hlavným cieľom boli železniarne v Hrabušiciach a v Stratenej, ktoré patrili rodu Čákiovcov, potom rodu Koburgovcov. Mimo prepravy tovaru tiež slúžila na zváženie dreva zo Slovenského raja, pretože hlavným palivom železiarní bolo v tom čase drevené uhlie. Asi snáď jedinou čiastočne zachovalou pamiatkov na Glackú cestu je Dukov most ktorý sa nachádza nad dolinou Malé Zajfy.
Súčasnosť:
V trase Glackej cesty je vedená modrá cykloznačka zo Stratenej cez Stratenskú Pílu až na rázcestie Glacká cesta, kde sa dá odpočinúť a v blízkosti ktorého sa nachádza táto keška. Ďalej pokračuje cez Malú Poľanu na rázcestie Suchá Belá záver a potom už len klesá do Podlesku a Hrabušíc. Zároveň na ňu vyústia viaceré značkované chodníky smerujúce z roklín Slovenského raja.

How did the medieval road look like?
Compared to the present, the medieval road seemed quite simple and led mostly to the simplest terrain and only in the case that there were no other bridges to overcome the rivers or valleys. Streams and rivers were mostly wading, villages and towns were being built near these fords, and this ford was also the place where several roads met.
The bigger problem than the construction of such a road was its maintenance. The maintenance of the road on which the goods were reworked mainly on horses was difficult because it often became overgrown and became impassable. Individual estates took care of these roads, because the better the way, the more goods traveled through it and the riches were richer.
Glack's way
Glacka Road is an old furman road that connected the Gemer area with the Spiš region, where it joined the main branch of the Polish road. It served mainly for the transport of goods between the northern and southern parts of the Slovak Paradise. The main targets were the ironworks in Hrabušice and in Stratená, which belonged to the Čáki family, then to the Koburg family. In addition to the transport of goods, it also served for weighing wood from the Slovak Paradise, because the main ironworks at that time was charcoal. Perhaps the only partially preserved monument on the Glack road is Dukov Bridge, which is located above the valley of the Little Zajfy.

In the route of the Glack Road there is a blue bike trail from Stratená through Stratenská Píla to the crossroads Glacká cesta, where you can relax and in the vicinity of which is this cache. Then it continues through Malá Poľana to the crossroads Suchá Belá záver and then only goes down to Podleska and Hrabušíc. At the same time, several marked trails leading from the gorges of the Slovak Paradise will lead to it.
