By lack of Belgian restaurants in NJ (what a shame!), we would like to invite you to the home of two people of a very rare breed: the Belgian!
There are only 11 million of them around on the world.
As it is a very typical habit in Belgium to invite people over for good food and drinks on your birthday, that is what we want to do as well as it is Leen’s birthday on August 7.
Be there on time (not easy for a real Belgian!), as we start serving food at 7:00 pm.
Belgians like to eat simple but filling meals, with a lot of potatoes and veggies.
We do NOT put ice in our drinks (sorry!) and we are very keen on our “mayonnaise”.
And yes, we do love beer and chocolates.
On the menu:
- Soup from the garden
- Drink, served with Belgian cookies
- “Garnaalcoctail” (shrimp on a salad with coctailsauce)
- “Stoemp met gebraad” (mashed potatoes prepared with veggies, pork, onion sauce)
- Pancakes with “Kinderchocolade”
- Coffee
Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and is served course by course.
We offer it for free, but kindly let us know via your will attend how many eaters we can expect so we can organize ourselves accordingly.
