The start of this trail next to the car par of Foel Friog, Natural Resources Wales.
A beautiful spot for a picnic at the beginning and end of this cache series. It is on the minor road between Corris and Aberlleffenni. It discovers some of the history of this secluded slate mining area.
Half of the trail is on public footpaths, and half on a minor road, take care!
Watch out for stream crossings, high river levels and boggy paths after heavy rain.
Total distance is about three miles, and fairly flat. This walk passes through farmland, keep dogs on a lead.
Many logs use waterproof paper, you will be able to sign them even when wet. Please do not replace, as your ordinary paper log will soon be mush. Instead flag for maintenance and we will get it replaced as soon as possible.
Please note, GPS in these steep sided valleys is not particularly precise, so double check the hints if you're struggling. Mobile phone signal is also not great, you may find it helpful to save the cache's to an offline list if you are a premium member.
