I had the opportunity to present Shell Leavers their golden ammo can a few years ago when Kingsnu was out of town. As the team of Shell Leavers have not had a tribute cache yet, I think this area is a perfect spot for their tribute - they used to have a cache located near here, one of their last ones placed in the Euclid Creek Reservation.
There are 2 shell leavers. One is school teacher, the other owns his own business. They started caching in October of 2013. They seem to enjoy placing caches more than finding them as they now own 268 total caches hidden. The shells that they leave come from one of their favorite spots in the world, Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Someday I plan on getting there myself. They are sharing a little bit of their favorite place in every shell they leave.
Hopefully Shell Leavers will get FTF, and they are welcome to take any of the shells "left" for them - thanks Dean and Amy for all the caches you have placed, at this writing 268 of them.
Note - parking in this area may not always be available if gate off main road is closed. It is a nice walk in, do not that limit you from getting the cache. In addition, cache was hidden on Shell Leavers 6th anniversary of geocaching. Happy anniversary!
