Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series that brings cachers to some random historical locations that are hidden amongst the urban sprawl that is the Greater Toronto area. Often, these historic buildings get surrounded by new developments, apartments and office towers - people forget they are even there. Then one day you are driving along and BANG you find a random historical building in the middle of 1960's apartments or post-war bungalows. Enjoy some of these hidden gems.

This location is not as historic as some of the other caches in this series but it is still a very interesting spot and a perfect example of why we started this series in the first place. When DB was a kid, she visited this home with her family during a royal visit as the original owners of this property were close with the Queen Mum. The property was once a large, equestrian estate but was sold off in pieces until 1996 when the last parcel and the house were sold to a developer. Have a seat, check out the house, and find yourself a geocache.
