With most caches in and around Windhoek not being large, we wanted to create a travel bug hotel that will hopefully be safe and secure for all sizes of TBs to help them on their mission.
The cache is situated close to center of town, between the Auspannplatz Circle and the Snyman Circle, two major traffic circles in Windhoek, often used as a point of reference when navigating towards or from town.
The TB hotel is situated on the outside of the main building, but behind the gate so that it may be kept safe. You are welcome to enter the gate and go right. The gate is open as follows:
Mo-Fr: 7h30-13h00 & 14h30-18h30
Sat: 8h00-11h00 & 17h30-18h00
Sun & Public Holidays: 10h30-11h00 & 17h30-18h00
The TB hotel as nothing to do with the location or the businesses around, but 4 amazing Geocachers work here and the owners and employees are aware of the hotel.
The hotel is locked. The code is the three (3) last digits of the main telephone number of the business as displayed on the sign next to the gate.
Don't forget to sign the logbook & feel free to write your favourite travel, geocaching or other quote onto the inside of the wooden box or any container in the hotel. Pens are in the hotel.
Please always be safety concious when caching in Windhoek and walking around town. Stealth may be required.
