After parking you can start the walk to the cache just south of the RV campground. It is easiest to walk down the right side of the spit, down the beach to the point and the southernmost spot on the Ocean Shores penninsula. After you walk awhile you will see some signs in the middle of the spit saying no dogs allowed past this point. If you cross over there you can take a walk on an old paved road. This road use to connect to the mainland but the growing spit and too many winter storms took their toll. Once you are on the road the walk to the cache is easy. And when you get to GZ it should be fairly apparent how the cache is hidden.
As you walk take note of the wildlife. You may see a deer or an eagle not to mention many shorebirds. In the winter perhaps a snowy owl. The area is also one of the few remaining nesting sites of the snowy plover. As always keep a distance and be respectful of the wildlife.
