CONGRATULATIONS TO ODYN ON HIS FTF!
THIS CACHE IS AT THE POSTED COORDINATES
The requirements of this challenge are very simple. I recently visited Iceland and I absolutely loved it so I would like to encourage everyone to go there. To log this challenge, simply find one cache, any cache, in Iceland.
I only had two days in Iceland and ended up with 46 finds. I did part of a power trail that runs along the Atlantic coastline near the airport in Keflavik, ran a 5K in Reykjavik, attended two events and found earthcaches and virtuals at some of the "must see" sites: Gunnuhver, Valahnúkamöl, Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Seljavallalaug, and, finally, the Sólheimasandur plane wreck. I was there for the summer solstice so I had almost constant daylight -- it never got dark, not even when the sun set after midnight because sunrise was less than 3 hours later.

I can't wait to go back and see more of this truly magical country.
The Challenge Checker will kick out your first find in Iceland which, for many, I imagine will be Naissance d'acier, which is a fine hide, but I'd love to hear the story of your favorite find in Iceland in your log if you'd like to share. I don't know if I have a favorite but the last find of my trip (pictured above) was pretty memorable. It took two logs for me to tell the tale: Part 1 and Part 2.

Due to a rash of questionable logs on local challenges, these are new rules if you find and sign this cache before qualifying. You MUST:
- post a note to the cache page dated on the day you sign the log
- provide some proof of your find (photo at gz, signature on the log, screenshot of your Google timeline showing you in the area on the date, etc.)
- reference your original note when you qualify and log it as a find
