Khobi Monastery is located 3km away from the village of Khobi. It was probably built in the XIII - XIV century.
The monastery is an architectural complex that includes a temple, a palace, a twoer, a wall and the remains of other structures. The domed bell-tower is one of the largest in Georgia.
The church is decorated with ornaments and frescoes. It is interesting also from an archeological point of view, as old columns, pillars and tombstones have been reused, for example for the pavement or for closing former windows.
You can find the cache only some meters away from the parking. But please do not forget to walk up the street, and to visit the interesting monastery.
