Welcome to another cache in the church micro series, Holy Trinity, Whaley Bridge
The Parish of Whaley is that rare thing – it is part of the county of Derbyshire, but in the diocese of Chester. Until the 1930s, part of modern Whaley Bridge was actually within Cheshire. There are two churches in the parish: Holy Trinity on Buxton Road and St James’ at Taxal Church Micro 11643...Taxal, a hamlet a mile or so out of the built-up area. Holy Trinity is much younger and celebrated its centenary in 2005.
This church micro is a traditional cache not far away from the church.
Please note that parking can be difficult especially at school times. I recommend parking by Horwich End Post Office in the Whaley Bridge Direction or in Whaley itself and walking up.
