Demolition has now been confirmed for 06:00-08:00 so event is now 05:00-05:30 which should provide sufficient time to get to the viewing point if they decide to go early.
An early morning gathering of geocachers at the top of Watlington Hill in the car park preceding the demolition of the three remaining cooling towers at Didcot A Power Station. It is about a 20 minute walk to the viewing point from the car park. We will be at a very safe distance of around 12 miles and, subject to weather conditions, we should be rewarded after the event with an impressive goodbye to this iconic landmark (or blot on the landscape, if you prefer).

When: Sunday 18 August 05:00 until 05:30.
Where: Watlington Hill Car Park (see waypoint)
What: A short event in advance of a brief optional (but why woudn't you?) walk over to the viewing point to say goodbye to the towers. Don't be late! There will be time for all the usual event chat, TB swapping, etc.
Parking: The car park has space for around 30 cars. That's theoretically enough parking for ~150 people if we all car share sensibly. Plenty for this early on a Sunday morning, surely!?
