Warkworth is best approached from the north. With its bridge, its bridge-tower, then Bridge Street, joining the main street up a hill to the towering, sharply cut block of the keep, it is one of the most exciting sequences of views one can have in England.
The Cache is at the start of that journey, with both the Bridge, It’s tower and the Castle all viewable from the location. Take a moment to rest and admire the view before walking up the street to enjoy a coffee at one of the Cafe’s or something stronger at one of the Pubs, or maybe you are walking the St Oswald’s Way and just need a short break before heading along the river.
