GREAT NEWS!!! On Saturday, July 27, 2019 Santa was found!!! Found after a year and 2 weeks!!! We are told he's fine, although he was covered in a tangled mess of seaweeds!!! But, the amazing team of PhantomoDOpera, punka13, and fkrol just left him there!!! We're very worried about Santa and his well-being, so it's our hope others will go to make sure we weren't told a "fairy tale" about Santa. The rescuers have told us there is now a landmark in the general vicinity to guide you to do check-ins with Santa.
We're waiting to hear back from the group of volunteer divers who were going to rescue Santa to see if they are still planning to make the dive!!! In any case, though, we believe it will be great to meet for the fun of it. Maybe some of the attendees will still plan to go out and check on him.
Please join us from 9:15 am - 10 am at the boat launch to see if there are any brave cachers willing to make sure Santa is where he's supposed to be!!!
Any divers and geocachers who wish to pursue this cache by taking their boat/kayak out, after the event, to help check on his well-being will be eligible to claim the group find, if successful. Attending the event alone does not mean attendees can also claim the find.
