Ahimsagirl and I have greatly enjoyed the kayak caches on the Salmon Falls River, at Pawtuckaway State Park and on the Bellamy Reservoir. Now it's our turn to provide some watercraft only caches for others to enjoy. The titles of the caches in this series reflect the sights of nature that we greatly enjoy while kayaking.
For put-in and parking, refer to Hay Brook Put-In cache, please. This cache is actually on the Middle Branch of the Mousam River. If there is a put-in closer, I have not discovered it yet.
Stumps and large limbs sticking up out of the water eventually attract seeds that sprout into little plants forming miniature islands. The variety of flora on each continues to fascinate and amaze us. Our inner child is aroused as we (former primary school teachers) imagine fairies, elves, gnomes in their miniature kingdoms.
