Welcome to the second cache in my Red Dwarf series. I wondered who I would feature for the second cache and I finally decided to dedicate it to Arnold Rimmer. Being he’s a second technician on the Red Dwarf, he’d make a great number 2.
Red Dwarf is a British sci-fi comedy show about the last human being, Dave Lister, that is stuck on a 5 mile long Jupiter Mining Corporation spaceship, Red Dwarf, as he tries to find his way back to Earth. Lister was locked into stasis because he tried to smuggle a cat on the ship. While he was locked in stasis, a radiation leak killed the entire crew and the Red Dwarf headed to the far reaches of space to keep the radiation contamination from spreading. Three million years later, Lister was released from stasis. With Lister on this mining spaceship is a being named Cat that evolved from his cat, a Series 4000 mechanoid named Kryten and a hologram of his bunkmate named Arnold Rimmer. Funny thing about Rimmer is that he (well, his human form) was the one that caused the accidental radiation leak that killed off the crew of the Red Dwarf and put Lister into this predicament.
Arnold Rimmer is a neurotic, charmless, cowardly, petty, career-minded yet underachieving, smeghead. He has the charm of a banana peel and is as likeable as the Ebola virus… but you can’t help but feel sorry for the guy. If it wasn’t for his upbringing and the fact he didn’t have the right nobby parents (or so he says…) he might’ve really gone far in life. Maybe he should blame himself and not others. But if he did that, it would ruin the comedy of the show.
For this mystery cache you will need to read up on some amazing Rimmer facts and answer the questions to find the missing numbers to complete the coordinates. Don’t worry, you won’t fail this thirteen times like Rimmer did on his astro-navigation exams. Please go to this site to read up on Rimmer:

The cache contains two special items for the first two finders. For the FTF reward, you get an Arnorld Rimmer badge that a friend of mine made. He made a few of these for my Arnold Rimmer costume that I wear on Halloween and at local comic and sci-fi conventions. For the Second (technician) to Find, there is an unactivated alien trackable that you can activate and send out across the globe. Since it’s alien, it might be able to contact alien life that can give Rimmer a real body!
And remember, there’s no number two in the universe like Second Technician Arnold Rimmer!
