The Geocache map seems to be a bit devoid of caches in the Rhyl area. As an attempt to rectify this I will set some more caches in this series in the coming months .Good hunting and hope you enjoy these caches.
This cache is in the gardens by the Stone Circle, which was erected to celebrate the National Eisteddfod being held in Rhyl in 1953.
Across the Promenade you can see the old Marine Hydro hotel which is now apartments. In the 60’s North Wales first Disco was opened in the basement and this where I met my wife. In the late 70’s this was replaced with a Show bar which featured well know stars such as Lulu, and Tom O’Connor.
This cache has a higher difficulty rating due to muggle activity in area. Car parking is pay and display on the Promenade so you can do a quick cache and dash
