Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of geocaches placed for the First Annual Camp MiGO (GC854BW) event on August 17, 2019 at Sleepy Hollow State Park. The theme for this year's event is to celebrate the Michigan State Parks Centennial.

Quiver Falls

The Menominee River State Recreation Area encompasses nearly 10,000 acres of public land along a 17-mile stretch of undeveloped river. The park is home to 17 miles of undeveloped river corridor with both rocky gorges and wide open stretches that offer a destination for whitewater rafting and kayaking, as well as hunting, fishing and wildlife viewing. There are three units in the park, including Piers Gorge Unit in the north, Quiver Falls Unit and Pemene Falls Unit in the south.

The annual Recreation Passport is required for all vehicles entering any State Park. They are available at the park for $16 or when you renew your license plates. For more information, visit Michigan Recreation Passport.

For more information about the park, visit the Sleepy Hollow State Park website.

To reserve your campsite, visit Michigan State Park & Harbor Reservations.

While you are here, begin or continue your Michigan State Parks Centennial GeoTour (GT93) by finding GC801QP MSPCGT:Sleepy Hollow SP.

Please also be aware that hunting is allowed in this park certain times of the year, so please be careful and dress appropriately when hunting is allowed.
