Some potential exciting news!!! There is beginning of discussion of a joint project between Dane and Sauk Counties to build a trail bridge crossing the gap nearby joining up a couple of trails... Sadly while deciding to take a look myself I ended up losing my TV remote trying to find the station with the meetings :/
