Benjamin Offices have been around for some time now - and depending on how you feel them - they either do, or don't - fit this series.
I'm somewhere in between.
Unfortunately, the history of the buildings isn't something I'm able to find much about - unlike the nearby Cameron Offices - which already has a cache dedicated to it! (GC5ETVA)
Architectually, they are interesting, and walking around the Campus, you can appreciate how the elevated walkways allow foot traffic between the buildings without having to deal with cars and carparks. However, they're starting to age, and the concrete isn't looking so great. If you stop and look at some of the buildings, some have been cleaned, others haven't. They most certainly are in stark contrast to the construction and apartments going up around Belconnen - making them look more "run down" than they might otherwise be!
The building "highlights" provide distinction between the buildings - with Magenta, Purple, Blue and Aqua remaining. Orange and Red are now the box-style buildings, which look quite boring by comparison. There were other buildings across the road - but I cannot recall what they were.
Their future isn't clear - some may be kept, whilst others knocked down - presumably for more apartment complexes, or new offices.
If you have any more information about these buildings, I'd love to know about it.
While it might be tempting to walk over and take a good look - keep in mind there are two Federal Government Departments that occupy the campus. This cache is about 100m from the campus, so you'll be fine there.
The cache is a well camoflaged magnetic Bison. Please use stealth, and be sensible about when you collect this cache - the adjacent carpark can be busy at times, and foot and vehicle traffic past GZ is frequent.
