Bothamley Park: 2 or 3 (Wellington) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

trancer96: Came by to check up on this and it has indeed gone. Not where it should be, not nearby that I could find. I don't think this is a good enough cache to warrant replacing so goodbye to this one. It's had over 100 finds in a little over 4 years so that seems like a good run.

Geocache Description:

When walking, jogging or cycling through Bothamley Park you'll almost certainly notice the large distance markers every kilometre.

These are distance markers for the Porirua Parkrun which is a volunteer-organized timed 5 km run that occurs every Saturday morning at 8am. Therefore that's probably not the best time to find this cache.

This cache is located not far away from the 2 km marker (it used to be directly adjacent but got muggled from there). Or maybe it's the 3 km marker if you're on the return journey. The 2.5 km turn-around point is, not surprisingly, 500m along the track from here. The start point is 2 km west of here at the Champion Street car park.

The cache is a mega bison in a camo bag. Although the coords were averaged over quite some time the uncertainly is quite large and seems to be different on every visit.
