Palatul Bohuș poartă numele unui mare baron. A fost construit de arhitectul local Ludovic Szántay și a fost inaugurat în 1913. În anii 1930 cea mai importantă bancă al orașului funcționa la parterul palatului, Banca Românească. Palatul a fost construit în stil secession geometric, stilul care este reprezentat și de alte clădiri din centrul Aradului.

The palace is a work of architect Ludovic Szántay, requested by its owner, baron Bohuş. Nowadays, the Palace houses shops, banking offices, apartments and a cinema hall – the first one built in Arad. The Palace was inaugurated in 1913. In the 1930s, at the main entrance of the ground floor, the headquarters of the most important Bank in Arad was located: “Banca Românească”.
The Bohuș Palace is one of the largest Secession buildings in Arad, architectural style which owns a decisive role in the urban layout of the city’s centre.
