Geocache Description:

This is an active cemetery in the Martinville community in northwestern Faulkner County. Settlement in the area began in 1846 and a town, then known as Cadron Cove, was laid out in 1853. The name of the post office (est. 1883) was changed in 1885 to Martinville in honor of Capt. W. W. Martin who deeded 3.5 acres for the cemetery in 1985 to trustees W. W. Oates, Henry Shillings, and L. W. Niceler (Faulkner County Deed Book 17-580).*

Imagine this small cache as standing guard over the cemetery at a lonely outpost. And of course, the guard is trying not to be seen and thus may be a little difficult to locate. Such a guard is appropriate, of course, because of the wonderful memorial to veterans at the cemetery entrance. Take time to have a look at it and thank those who served.

The coordinates jump around a bit here but will hopefully will put you close to some likely hiding spots. You should be able to park right near GZ. You will not have to cross a fence.

Please be respectful of the residents in the cemetery as well as those who may be visiting them there. Night hunting is not advised.

Should there be any problem with the cache, please let me know. Though unlikely here, should you encounter any trash, please practice CITO.
