Geocache Description:


Not too long ago, tigers used to roam wild in these parts! It was perfectly fine, they would keep the numbers of wild deer under check, and keep the fox numbers down! However, then the local Queanbeyan council built the new suburb of Googong! This took away much of the habitat for the deer! So the tigers, getting hungry now, started to prey on humans! It was decided that that was no good, so traps were set to catch these tigers live, so that they could be relocated!

Well, the good news is, they caught every last tiger! And the bad news is, that this last trap has been removed! (Along with the cache)... Indeed, the council has now turned this into a water monitoring site instead! So I have placed a new cache near the spot where the water is monitored!
