Geocache Description:


The original tomato growers in Geraldton were the Japanese who started growing tomatoes in the region in around 1920. Today growers include Macedonians, Greeks, Italians, Vietnamese and a few Slavs.

Horticultural methods have changed over the years and now throughout the region you can see large rows of hothouses where the tomatoes are now grown.

To the north of this cache is an example of the huge hot houses.
