This site is a memorial to the veterans of Picayune, Mississippi. The obelisk in the center has the names of those veterans who gave their lives or were POWs in World Wars I and II, Korea and Vietnam. The ground around the monument is paved with bricks engraved with the names of many other Picayune veterans. I'm proud to say that my father's name is on one of these bricks.
