Original game
"The octopus" used to be the second favourite game (after "Ну, погоди!" (1986) ) made by soviet company Электроника . The goal of the game is to dive to the treasure, grab as much as you can and bring it to the boat. The octopus is the real problem. It elongates the tentacles and tries to eat the careless diver. Cartridge
We replaced the danger of being eaten by the octopus with the real threat. The worst what can happen to you underwater is that you use all your oxygen. That's why you always have only 60 seconds for the treasure hunt. You have to reach the boat in this time limit, otherwise you lose a life. After returning to the boat, you gain 1 point for every second spent at the treasure. The number of dives is not limited. You finish the game by gaining 500 points. If you lose 3 lives, the game is over and you have to start again.
