Geocache Description:

The sweep of 700 years of history is stamped into Drum’s battlements, medieval square tower and sprawling extensions.

The Royal Forest and Tower of Drum were given to the Irvine family by Robert the Bruce in 1323. Later a Jacobean mansion house was added, and in the Victorian era the lower hall was converted to a library, now containing a mighty 4,000 books.

The beautiful Garden of Historic Roses is divided into quadrants that show how roses have been cultivated from the 17th to the 20th century.

The ancient oak forest adjoins the castle, providing a sense of continuity through the centuries and a home for red kites, roe deer, red squirrels and badgers.

Multi Instructions

This cache is based upon the famous 'Where’s Wally?' books and once you find the first container you will be presented with a 'Where's Wally' scene. In order to solve the coordinates to the final container you will need to answer the relevant questions by finding Wally, Wenda, Odlaw & Wizard Whitebeard. The final container can then be located a short walk away. Collect each code letter and number from the four feeder caches to obtain the coordinates for the bonus cache.

  • Wenda – A = The number of red stripes on the roof next to Wenda +2
  • Wizard Whitebeard – B = The number of Slot machines next to the Wizard x 23
  • Wally – C= The number of green stripes on the roof next to Wally - 3
  • Odlaw – D=The number of horses legs visible next to Odlaw + 8

The final container can be found at N57 05.AB W2 20.CD
