This cache has been placed on one of Table Mountain's most visited hiking trails.
I hike this trail quite often and regularly find people in this general area contemplating their turn around stratagy.
With their fachial expressions frozen somewhere between panic and confusion they usually "rest" at this point while the rest of their hiking group visit the top point of Lion's head.
I decided to place this cache to give them another reason to stay behind while their friends continue
ACROPHOBIA
Is commonly know as a fear of hights.
This sometimes manifests as an intense and irrational fear that could cripple one in the oddest places.
Acrophobia is defined as a fear of heights. Unlike a specific phobia such as aerophobia, which is the fear of flying, acrophobia can cause you to fear a variety of things related to being far from the ground. Depending on the phobia's severity, you may fear being on a high floor of a building as much as simply climbing a ladder.
Being outdoors regularly and working your way up mountain slopes does help you cope and also teaches you how to overcome this crippling fear.
With the support of friends and strategically placed geocaches, this phobia can be tamed.
Now go out there and go find that cache!!
