Ocean Spray Traditional Cache

Once upon a time there was a young mermaid. This young mermaid loved so swim with the orcas in the Burrard Inlet and spy on the land dwellers as they went about their business. One day she saw a young sea captain sailing his ship here to New Brighton. The tall, dark and handsome skipper had come in order to purchase lumber which he would later sell in lands far far away. As beautiful of the young mermaid was she was also quite shy. Instead of talking to him directly she whispered a message into a bottle and sent it away in the ocean spray. We will never know if the captain received the message or not but he soon sailed away into the Pacific. He may have been lost in a storm or he may face ben taken by pirates but he never returned to the beautiful beaches on Vancouver. The devastated mermaid vowed never to sing for another. Although her beautiful voice would never be heard again, rumour has it that if you search hard enough for the ocean's spray you can still find her final message to her long lost love.
