Mount Wise looks over the Hamoaze, with beautiful views looking out towards Jennycliffe all the way around to Torpoint. The park is formerly the site of some of Plymouth’s main defences which is still evident to this day, with some of the defences dating back to the 1700s.
In later years the Mount Wise estate was the Royal Navy’s Maritime Headquarters, in use for 200 years until it was sold in 2006.
This cache takes you to one of the most scenic views in Mount Wise, ontop of the original defences. Unfortunately the area is un-loved now so watch out for the overgrowth and the potential for glass.
Our cache is a Nano/Magnetic cache and you will need tweezers to remove the log. Please make sure you place it back afterwards.
