Congrats to Stick People and BoxerBailey on FTF!
This is the first in a series of puzzle caches designed to teach new technical geocaching skills.
In today's lesson, you will learn how to access the low-resolution and high-resolution versions of photos that have been posted in a geocache gallery. It's probably easiest to do this "lesson" on a laptop or desktop computer, rather than your phone.
There will be a quiz at the end, so pay attention.
Below is a low-res picture I took near where I hid this geocache.

You can find this picture in the gallery of this cache, by clicking on the "View Gallery" link just under the "Log geocache" button. When you view the gallery, you can scroll through pictures (for example, using left and right arrow keys). Each picture is a low-resolution copy of the original picture that was uploaded. You can access the high resolution version in 2 different ways:
- Underneath the picture, if you click on "View Log", it will bring up the log for which that picture was posted. The log will include a thumbnail of the picture. Clicking on the thumbnail will give you a high-resolution copy. You may need to zoom in on the picture to see all the high-resolution details.
- Also underneat the picture in the "View Gallery" slideshow, you can click on "Print Picture". This will bring up a low-resolution copy of the picture. If you look at the URL (i.e., the web address) of the picture, you will notice that the filename ends in a bunch of numbers, followed by "_l.jpg". The underscore and the "l" stand for "low resolution". You can access the high-resolution copy by clicking on the URL in your browser, and deleting the two characters _ and l. Hit enter, and your web browser should load the high-resolution copy. As in the other approach above, you may need to zoom in on the picture to see all the high-resolution details. By the way, other suffixes that work are "_t" which produces the thumbnail images you see in a cache gallery, and "_d", which produces the image you see if you click on someone's log and get to the "View Geocache Log" listing.
By the way, instead of going to the gallery, you can scroll through the logs and click on individual pictures. A thumbnail with the same 2 links (View Log / Print Picture) will come up.
Here is your quiz: Try this out on the picture in the gallery. Have fun!
