What better way to start Fall than by doing a Service Project at Martin Lake State Park?
If you tell the folks at the Admission Station you are here for the Geocacher's Service Project, they will waive the regular Admission Fees.
Join us at 10:00 am to help us with a Service Project and to clean up some parts of this Geocaching-Friendly State Park. At this time, we have a project to build and place some wooden footbridges along a few trails and maybe some trash pick up on the island and shorelines. Exact details of our project are still being worked out with the Staff, but there will be tasks suitable for people of all ages and abilities. We plan to volunteer for about two hours or so, depending on the turn-out and the tasks at hand as worked out with the Rangers.
Our "Official Timeframe" for the CITO is 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Please bring your gloves and trash-grabbers, as we may not have enough for everyone. Any other tools will be provided by the State Park.
We will add more specifics as they become available.
