I thought this would be a great place for a cache, as it's so fun to walk through and check out the amazing art installation on this part of the KK River trail. There are several murals created by artist Gabriela Riveros, all featuring river deities that represent the historical cultures of the neighborhood. This section of the trail is gravel and runs between 13th and 16th St.
This cache is a small black bison tube. You might find it beneath you if you have a seat in the common area for a moment, and your chosen seat faces north.
This cache is NOT on a bridge, near the water, or riverbank. You do not need to go near the river's edge or anywhere close to water. There is no need to disrupt the gardens or any vegetation or wildlife. The cache is not near a mural.
There is often a soccer game or people working in the community gardens.
It might be accessible in winter as long as there is not a super heavy snow covering.
On a side note, if you want to check out the KK River reviatilzation after you find the cache, it can be seen on the west side of 16th St., in Pulaski Park. The riverbed is absolutely gorgeous over there, and I highly recommend taking a peek!
