Geocache Description:

A series of Caches placed along the path of San Cristoforo

According to tradition, the Shrine was built at the place where the Virgin Mary appeared to farmer Antonio Zampara in 1510. The shrine was consecrated in 1615 and made more harmonious in the early 1900s by the architect Rinaldo of Venice. Outside it is characterized by a large metal-coated dome. Great view on the plain!
