Join Spyparents42 and myself for Lock and Paddle 2019!
The event on-site registration to participate in the Lock and Paddle will be held at N 44 18.410 W 78 18.080 at the Park's Canada registration tent. On site registration for the use of the locking system begins at 5pm. Lock and Paddle is free to attend.
At 4pm cachers will converse and meet at N 44° 18.420 W 78° 18.016' to chat and meet up with possible land attendees, and sign the "Logbook" for Lock and Paddle 2019 (optional) We will stay here until 5:30pm when cachers can make their way over to registration at waypoint one. Pre-registration is available through Parks Canada, but is in no means a required aspect to participate.
The rest of the event will be held on the liftlocks, where attendees (by kayak or canoe) will be lifted up under the night sky!
What To Bring If Participating In The Paddle:
-Canoe or Kayak (no boats as we are trying to set a world record!)
-Personal Floatation Device for each paddler
-Sound signaling device (such as a whistle)
-Coloured wristbands (supplied by parks canada onsite)
Of Note- Best Decorated Watercrafts win prizes from ParksCanada!! (Neon is the main theme!)
