Hurricane Michael made landfall at 2 p.m October 10,2018 near Mexico Beach Florida, with top sustained winds of 155 mph. This series of caches are dedicated to Michaels landfall, our landscape and lives have been forever changed by Michael. After the storm there was debree from homes, boats, cars everywhere it literally looked like a war zone, but little by little the communities are cleaning up and rebuilding and our small communities are starting to come back. This cache is a reminder of all the things that got washed away. If you look around the trees near this cache you can still see debree in the trees. Michael took a lot of homes, too many lives, destroyed so many trees and left a lot of people with horrible memories of his landfall. Most everyone you talk to that stayed and rode the storm out has a story of survival that included a lot of praying and being terrified. Michael will be forever in our memories.
