Das ist Südtirol: Seefeldsee Traditional Cache

Die Gitschbergbahn bringt euch hinauf zur Bergstation. Sie ist der Ausgangspunkt der Tour zum Seefeldsee. Der Weg Nr. 21 führt zunächst über den Ochsenboden zur Weißenalm, von dort geht es dann weiter auf dem Weg Nr. 6, dem „Schellenbergsteig“ zur Seefeldalm. Achtung: Auf diesem Weg ist Trittsicherheit erforderlich, aber ihr habt eine wunderschöne Aussicht über das gesamte Altfasstal. Nach ca. 1,5 bis 2 Stunden erreicht ihr einen Aussichtspunkt und diesen Cache. Zu euren Füßen liegt der erste und größte der drei Seefeldseen (2.271 m). Nach dem Fund könnt ihr hier verschnaufen, euch mit eurer mitgebrachten Jause stärken und entscheiden ob ihr weiter hoch zu den beiden anderen Seefeldseen (2.501 m bzw. 2.514 m) und zur Seefeldspitze (2.717 m) wandern möchtet oder ob ihr gleich den Rückweg hinunter zum See und durch das Altfasstal (Weg Nr. 15) antreten wollt. Im Altfasstal liegen mehrere bewirtschaftete Hütten und man erreicht den Parkplatz am Eingang des Altfasstals in ca. 2,5 Stunden. Vom Parkplatz Altfasstal führt ein Weg in ca. 45 min durch Meransen zurück zu eurem Ausgangspunkt, dem Parkplatz an der Gitschbergbahn.

The Gitschbergbahn takes you up to the mountain station. It is the starting point of the tour to Seefeldsee. The trail no. 21 first leads over the Ochsenboden to the Weißenalm, from there it continues on the path No. 6, the "Schellenbergsteig" to the Seefeldalm. Attention: On this way, surefootedness is required, but you have a beautiful view over the Altfasstal. After about 1.5 to 2 hours you reach a lookout and this cache. At your feet lies the first and largest of the three Seefeld lakes (2,271 m). After the discovery you can catch a breath, strengthen yourself with your snack and decide if you want to hike further up to the other two Seefeld lakes (2.501 m or 2.514 m) and the Seefeldspitze (2.717 m) or if you like the way back to the Lake and through the Altfass valley (path no. 15). In Altfasstal are several huts where you can have a snack. You'll reach the parking lot at the entrance of Altfasstal in about 2.5 hours. From the parking Altfasstal a path leads in about 45 minutes through Meransen back to your starting point, the parking lot at the Gitschbergbahn.
