An easy to find cache in a pleasant reserve.
Not long ago I was walking out of this reserve after placing a cache when I noticed a dead Koala. I contacted the local Wildlife Rescue Group as they need to track koalas for welfare and research purposes.🐨
My contact arrived within 30 minutes and as I led him to this koala, he thanked me and proceeded to tell me how important it it is to identify and autopsy each koala death.🐨
The rescuer told me that this koala was a young male in 'pristine' condition with no obvious signs of disease. Hopefully the autopsy revealed the cause of death for this poor creature.
This man is one among many volunteers who work tirelessly for the good of the koala, and other wildlife in the area. My hat goes off to him and the others.🐨
There is a small FTF prize in this cache and enough Koala keychains for several finders. You will also find some magnetic stickers and a few information discs to place on keychains. Mine came in handy on this day.🐨
Oh, and you will also find a log book and pencil.✍
PS I dont even remember the name I had planned for this cache but feel this is better as it is a tribute to our local wildlife and carers alike. 🐨 🐨 🐨
