Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

This is the first cache our crew has ever placed. It is in memory of the holiday ninja/geocacher known as GEONAP. It is our celebration of his 45th birthday and the launch of our community free libraries. GEONAP loved to go caching, sharing experiences, and having a good book handy when finally time allowed to relax after a day of adventure. That legacy is continued where the sidewalk literally ends (until the City decides to walk on through).
This cache is a regular size container and considered a novelty. The Geocache is NOT hidden in our lovely flowers and bushes &/or snowpile. If you do a little bit of reading and like being the change in the world, you should be able to find this cache with ease. Once you have complete your quest, please feel free to sit at our meeting place to rest, peruse a choice book, or play a hand of Uno (deck is inside the grown up book side). And of course this find contains some nice goodies. Probably the items of greatest interest are the five GeoNap Wooden coins, an Absolute Caching Coin, and a travel bug! There is also a camera inside the cache. Be sure to take a picture of yourself.
