Geocache Description:

Built in the 1880’s the Pumphouse is a Grade II listed building and one of the few hydraulic pumping houses remaining in Wales! It used to provide power for the docks, a great feat considering that by 1913 Barry had become the largest coal exporting port in the world! Be sure to check out the chimney! It is 42 metres tall! The cache: You are looking for a medium sized clear plastic box located close to the Pumphouse. There is free parking on the street or in the restaurant car park but the site is also easily accessible on foot. Stealth may be needed as it is a busy area and there will be Muggles about. Pencils are provided along with a tradeable swag!
