This location is perfect to view or photograph Mendocino Village sitting on its peninsula above the bay and big river beach. There’s a bench near the cache to hang out on and enjoy all the beauty. Also, this is the premier giant wave-watching spot during large winter swells. Find the path beyond the bench, but don’t go too much further than the cache in order to respect the private property boundary. The small/medium size cache container is rectangular glass with a waterproof lid, please replace it tightly. PLEASE NOTE: Sheer cliff fall-off hazard; Stay back! Watch children very carefully.
