Geocache Description:

Three Panels in Milford Village Square form the sculptural installation by New Zealand artist Jeff Thomson.  Called 'Pupuke to the Sea' the artwork has images including maps, plants and animals from the Milford area.  Jeff Thomson grew up in nearby Castor Bay.  By looking closely at both sides of each panel the clues to this cache will reveal themselves.   Take a seat on one of the benches in the courtyard away from Modern Planet. Look under one end of the bench to find the locked cache. The panel closest to the cache is Panel 3.  The artwork was unveiled on 10th December 2011.

The 4 Digit code for the combination lock on the cache is;

Digit 1 = [Panel 1; number of letter “e”] MINUS [Panel 3; number of letter “k”]

Digit 2 = [Panel 1; number of birds] MINUS [Panel 3; number of boats]

Digit 3 = [Panel 2; number of animals] MINUS [Panel 2; number of anchors]

Digit 4 = [Panel 1; number of crabs]

*Please remember to scramble the combination lock once you have re-closed it after successfully getting the log.

*Please don’t leave it on the opening code when you leave!
